The search committee met this past Thursday evening. We spent many hours together conducting introductory interviews with three different individuals who are being considered for the Lead Pastor position. For practical purposes, given the distance for some of them, these initial interviews were conducted via Skype.
We asked some common questions of all three candidates, and also some questions tailored to each individual to help us best determine how each would fit with WPA and the vision we believe God has for us.
After the interviews were over, we took some time to deliberate about each candidate and we decided that we needed a few days to pray before proceeding.
We are meeting again tomorrow night to cast a vote on which individual or individuals we would like to see move forward to a second, more in-depth interview. Once that vote has taken place, we will discuss the details of how we would like to proceed, but an in-person interview with anyone who we decide is still a candidate will likely be scheduled in the very near future.
