It brings me great joy to serve WPA as Lead Pastor. I work in partnership with the Board of Deacons and Elders and give leadership to the Pastoral Team. My primary responsibilities include preaching and teaching from the scriptures and helping the church realize its vision of thinking biblically, growing spiritually and living missionally in everyday life. The Pastoral Team and I are here to serve you.
Deacons are nominated and elected by the membership to serve for either a one or three-year term. They serve by holding the Lead Pastor accountable and ensuring that the church is making progress towards the vision, monitoring the stewardship of finances and making decisions concerning the assets of WPA.
Elders are appointed by the Lead Pastor and ratified by the membership of WPA to serve for a three-year term. They serve by supporting the Lead Pastor through prayer and godly counsel, monitoring the spiritual health of the congregation, the commitment of the membership and taking leadership in issues of church discipline at WPA.
