Bible Engagement
Connecting with God’s Word is an essential part of every Christian’s faith. The Bible is our compass, it teaches us our history and tells us the Truth of God’s ways and how we should live our lives. As a church, WPA has placed a renewed emphasis on bible engagement and we are continuing this initiative by working through the Book of Hebrews over the next eight weeks.
We have put together three simple ways that you as an individual can be involved in biblical engagement in community with your church.
Memorize
We’ve put together a stand-up flip book that you can use, it’s 100% free and you can pick yours up on Sunday mornings before or after services in the Foyer or during the week during office hours at the church. Each week you’ll be challenged to memorize a new verse that takes you through the Book of Hebrews
Listen
Music is a large source of inspiration and some people are auditory learners. Start or end your day by listening to the Book of Hebrews read by Pastor Chris. In addition, we have recommended a song for your listening pleasure to help facilitate a time of Worship & The Word. Dedicate a portion of your day to listening intently for what God might say to you through scripture and song.
You can access all links for the audio bible and worship songs below on this page.
Reflect
Maybe neither of the first two options were for you. We are all wonderfully and uniquely made by God. If the first two options did not fit your learning style, then we invite you to join the conversation on Facebook. Monday, Wednesday and Friday each week as we post a section of scripture from the Book of Hebrews and reflect on it together as a community. Simply read the scripture and let us know what stood out to you and why. Comment on other people’s posts and don’t be shy; we can all benefit from each other’s insights.
