In this final message of our Future-Focused Church series, Pastor Chris Padiath explores Acts 11:19–26 and unpacks what it means to be a global church. Looking at the life of Barnabas and the early church in Antioch, we see a model of believers who moved beyond cultural barriers, responded to persecution with purpose, and committed themselves to deep discipleship.
This message challenges us to grow not only in number but in depth, to embrace diversity as part of God’s design, and to take responsibility for the global mission of the Church. As followers of Jesus, we are called to pray for the persecuted, invest in the mission, and go wherever God leads.
Becoming the church God wants us to be doesn’t happen by accident. To be a theologically, spiritually and missionally vital church, we need to set strategic goals that will keep us motivated and help us monitor progress. In this series, we will look at three New Testament churches and how they serve as an example to us of the kind of church we are meant to be.
