Message: “Praise Psalms” from Pastor Kim Davis

Pastor Kim Davis - August 30, 2026

Praise Psalms

Why do we praise God, even when we do not feel like praising? As we conclude our Psalms series, Pastor Kim teaches from Psalm 145 and reminds us that praise begins with who God is. He is the great King over creation and our lives, but He is also compassionate and rich in love. Even in seasons where worship feels difficult, the Psalms invite us to remember His character and offer Him what praise we can. We join generations of God’s people who have gone before us, continuing the chorus that closes the book of Psalms: “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.”

What do you pray when life doesn't make sense? How do you worship when your heart is full of joy or full of pain? The Psalms capture the full range of the human emotion and experience—joy and sorrow, confidence and doubt, gratitude and grief. These scripture-songs help us understand how God's people responded to Him and invite us to do the same today. Join us this summer as we explore nine types of psalms and their relevance while navigating life's ups and downs.
