Dr. Chris Padiath
It brings me great joy to serve WPA as Lead Pastor. I work in partnership with the Board of Deacons and Elders and give leadership to the Pastoral Team. My primary responsibilities include preaching and teaching from the scriptures and helping the church realize its vision of thinking biblically, growing spiritually and living missionally in everyday life. The Pastoral Team and I are here to serve you.
I have the privilege of working with all things discipleship here at WPA. This includes things like small groups, helping people explore and develop their relationship with Christ and helping people to take the next steps in developing their faith. I also have the privilege of overseeing our first impressions and hospitality teams. My hope is that when you visit WPA, you feel welcomed, encouraged and inspired. I look forward to meeting you and supporting you, however, I can.
I am honoured to over-see the Children’s Ministry at WPA and partner alongside an amazing team of leaders. We are all about kids at WPA and I am privileged to lead a team of volunteers who are passionate about kids, and passionate about seeing them develop in their walk with God at whatever age! Whether it is our dynamic Sunday programs, fun and fast paced mid-week activities, or special events for children and parents, love for God and love for kids is our passion in Children’s Ministry.
I attempt to live my life according to the lifestyle Jesus portrayed; one of love closely connected to the Holy Spirit and Father. I am passionate to see young people think deeply about their love towards others and seek to model Jesus in everything they do. When I have spare time I enjoy exercising, reading, playing guitar and attending concerts, watching movies, and spending time with my friends or family.
As worship pastor at WPA I have the privilege of leading the congregation in song and praise every Sunday morning. I work with an incredible group of volunteers in our worship and creative arts department who use their talents in various areas of the church from tech to singers and musicians. I have a deep passion for music and love helping people experience the presence of God through worship and praise.
Mission & Young Adults
Through Spirit-filled services and small group Bible studies, my wife Christalyn and I, and the amazing leadership team, hope to see a community of young Christians spurring each other on to good works and deeper love for God. I also have the honour of working with our missionaries both in Canada and abroad as well as directing community outreach initiatives.
I co-ordinate the visitation program to seniors, shut-ins and those in hospital in addition to providing grief support when someone has lost a loved one. I am available to offer a listening ear and prayer support to anyone needing spiritual care.
Mission & Young Adults
It is my desire to discover and live out God's mission on earth with the young adults of WPA and help them to fully achieve the full potential God has placed inside of them. I work alongside my husband Daniel in directing outreach opportunities in the community.
