Just stopped at the side of the road to assist with an 88yo man who was biking, hit something, and went head first over the handle bars! I got to do a first assessment, keep him talking and apply pressure to a bad cut on his lip. Then the fire truck and ambulance came, and I stayed until they took over. Thankfully, he only had cuts and scrapes, and nothing was broken.

I’m so grateful I was able to actually stop and help, and be confident in my training and instinct – and for God helping me to remember it all in the moment!
