At the beginning of the school year at the parent-teacher meet the teacher event, our family heard of a family struggling to get their daughter to school, in the morning. Since, the father works overnight shifts. The kids are not eligible for school bus because of the rules around French Immersion. Without knowing where this family lives, we immediately felt the need to help and offer the ride.
As a family, we committed to make a difference in this other family’s situation. We wake up earlier and drive extra time out of our way to school everyday to pick one grade 7 student up to take her to school in the morning. She is happy and we are blessed to be helpful.
