My roommate and I had fallen into a bad patch in our living together – she would be quite snippy with me, constantly criticize how I was using the shared kitchen, etc. To try to turn things around I bought her some groceries – both things I knew she needed but was waiting until payday to buy and some treats just things she liked. It softened her heart and our relationship has been much better since then.
